Lunch was nicely prepared but, alas, it was fish, wasn’t it? (I think most of us enjoyed it.) 😀
Rick’s moment of gratitude focused on our good fortune of being able to be of assistance to others, especially during the holiday season. Pete led us in the recitation of the Four-Way Test. You betcha!
In happy dollars, Erin thanked all who contributed to the turkey-bundles campaign for various food shelters. In turn, various members thanked Erin for her efforts. Brenda and siblings enjoyed some time together recently. Vickie and Joe will host Thanksgiving for the first time in a long time; he’s excited. Susan also is looking forward to Thanksgiving. Tracy is excited about the opening of the new town hall. Alice will host a big gang for Thanksgiving. Ray is happy that their daughter and children will join them for the holiday. Ed Smith is thankful that modern medicine has been good to him. George is looking forward to enjoying Thanksgiving with eight single women (and five bottles of wine!) Rick is happy that they were able to celebrate his mother’s birthday recently. Melanie and Raney enjoyed a nice river cruise from Amsterdam through France and Germany, ending in Basil, Switzerland. Pete’s latest:

To fill over six hundred lobster traps!

And instead, fill up your CLYNK bags, perhaps?”

Rick told members that the board recommends donating $500 to Nellie Young’s culinary project in Peru. The club approved the donation.
We will have a $25 Yankee swap at our December 4 meeting. The holiday luncheon at Jonathan’s is on Thursday, December 11th (snow date is Thursday, December 18th.) We will not have a club meeting on the 18th .
Because New Years Day is Thursday January 1, our meeting schedule is changed. We will meet on January 8th and January 22. Rick is working on a location for our winter meetings.
After the formal adjournment, everyone pitched in to stuff envelopes with the invitations to the holiday luncheon at Jonathan’s.
