Recap of Thursday, April 2, 2026 Meeting
We returned in high spirits to Jonathan’s this week. For the Moment of Gratitude, Susan highlighted some words from Annette Funicello. At the conclusion of Susan’s remarks, we spontaneously erupted in a melodious reprise of “M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E!” (You really had to be there!)

Pete provided both the Four-Way Test and the CLYNK report.

“So now we return to Jonathan’s--they’ve just turned fifty!

Just in time to help them celebrate--how nifty!

We could also get back to filling more bags for CLYNK,

That means, of course, we should continue to DRINK!

So now we have $478.85 in our CLYNK account.”

In happy dollars, Eric is pleased that he’ll visit with his daughter for Easter. Ray, along with many other members, wished Peter a Happy Birthday! Ed Smith is happy that his wife is home from her physical rehab stay in New Hampshire. She is resting and is able, with Ed’s help, to use the new stairway-chair in their home.   Kerry was “happy to be here and happy to be alive!” Amen. Melanie was happy to be back from vacation. Jim Eshleman was happy to be submitting his application for membership in our club! Erin was not happy to be back from vacation in Costa Rico.

Tina drew the 5 of clubs and the 8 of spades. Better luck next time.

We sang Happy Birthday to Peter who was generous in sharing the birthday cake with the rest of us!

The remainder of the meeting was devoted to a discussion of the Super September Calendar fundraiser that will replace the 2 Cents Sale this summer. Just as we routinely have done for the 2 Cents Sale, each of us will gather donations of either gift cards or cash from area merchants. This time, those donations will fill up the 30 days on the September calendar. We each will sell calendars at $25 per. Every day in September a lucky winner’s name will be drawn for the items on the calendar that day.

Respectfully,

Ed Seppa
