Eleven of us met Zoom-only today. We were joined by Rita Sevigny, the recently-appointed director of WOCAM, the senior center at Moody.
In happy news, Dr. Joe celebrated his Paul Harris+5 award. Erin’s family celebrated Lexi’s recent visit with tattoos all around! Susan and her granddaughter enjoyed salt-water taffy to celebrate the child’s continuing recovery from Lyme Disease. Pete reported a Clynk account total of $344.50.
Ms. Sevigny told of recent activities at the senior center as well as an upcoming event this Sunday, a harvest social. Also, Billy’s Chowder House will supply Thanksgiving dinners to center members. We are encouraged to check out the online WOCAM newsletter.
In club news, Erin reported on Polio Challenge donations which, when double-matched by the Gates Foundation, amounts to nearly $2,000! So far, 2 Cents Sale Raffle revenues have reached about $1,650. Susan announced that Alice Pearce and Elizabeth Cutler would be providing the club with public relations services. Elizabeth Ford told us that masks from the Million Mask project will be delivered to WOCAM, the St. Mary’s food pantry and the Ogunquit Police Department. Susan initiated an ad hoc committee to brainstorm some form of a “Jonathan’s” holiday luncheon. Susan also asked us to focus on Giving Tuesday, December 1 this year.
