Mr. Weare, the President of the Board of Trustees, provided an interesting overview of the museum's history, service, modernization and structural needs.
Now in its 120th year, the institution serves nearly 10,000 visitors each year. Somewhat uniques as a private non-profit library, it receives no municipal, state or government funding and relies in part on the generosity of friends and neighbors. This Fall, essential mortar re-pointing of the fieldstone exterior will be performed and the board seeks contributions to help offset the cost.
Bob Cruickshank thanked Mr. Weare for his enlightening presentation.
