Rotary and the Peace Corps teamed to provide the means by which hot meals are provided to schoolchildren in villages in Colombia, South America.

The Ogunquit Rotary Club, with the financial support of eight other clubs and Districts 7780 and 7930, recently completed a project in Tubara, Atlantico, Colombia, South America. A container kitchen was installed at a school in Playa Mendoza, Tubara, and kitchen equipment was installed at a school in Corral de San Luis. With the Colombian government supplying the food, villagers prepare both breakfast and lunch for the children who attend these schools. Our club worked in tandem with the the Rotary Club of Barranquilla Oriente and a pair of Peace Corps Volunteers on the planning and implementation of this project.
