York County nonprofits have a new opportunity to access funding to help them pursue their missions. The Rotary Club of Ogunquit is pleased to announce its new Community Impact Grants program, with the initial round of grant applications due November 15, and awards announced and funded in January.

Ogunquit Rotary will award Community Impact Grants each year in one or more of four categories that are priorities to Ogunquit Rotary club members: Mental Health, Food Insecurity, Families/Kids/Seniors, and Environmental Sustainability. Typically, the maximum grant award will be $1000.

Any 501c3 nonprofit organization based in or providing services in York County under one or more of the four priority categories is eligible to apply. A grant may be used for capital items, and special projects or services, and should be unique and innovative. Grant money will not be awarded to retire debt, for general operating expenses, or to duplicate established projects in the community.

The Community Impact Grants committee will evaluate each proposal based on its response to community issues, financial and community need, availability to the community as a whole or large segment in need, feasibility of accomplishment based on resources available, ability to improve community members’ lives, and measurable results.
